Waterloo, ONT. - Inaugural mens head coach Brett Mosen and the K-W United FC franchise is proud to announce that Gerry Austin and Martin Dell will act as assistant coaches in the upcoming season.
Both Austin and Dell will rejoin Mosen after coaching together in a number of United Soccer League (USL) clubs.
"I'm delighted to be working with Brett again," Austin said. "I've been part of his staff for quite some time. I was with him in Nashville and I'm excited about working there with him again, with this franchise."
"I'm very excited about being part of the K-W United coaching staff this summer and having the opportunity to work with Brett Mosen again," Dell said. "I am honoured to be part of an organization that has a similar vision of growth and development as myself."
Austin is originally from London, England and has been coaching in America since 1993. He first started coaching within the USL when he joined Mosen as an assistant coach for the Nashville Metros in 1996.
Dell is also originally from England, but has called Richmond, Virginia his home since 1983. He has over 25 years of coaching experience in various levels and also served as an assistant coach for the USL Nashville Metros.
"When [Brett] first asked me about coming up, it seemed like, in the area, it could be wonderful for the youth to come in and see what I believe is some core talent," Austin said.
The two will work with Mosen throughout training and will open the season May 23 in Louisville, KY.
