K-W Closes Road Trip with 6 Points

K-W United continued their strong form with the squad's second road win in two days in Dayton, Ohio. United travelled on the back of a 3-1 win against Derby the previous day.

The Black and Blue army opened the scoring 15 minutes into the game when Camargo finished off a corner kick played in at the far post. Camargo is tied for second on the team list for goals with three to his name.

Whiteman got in on the action when the Brampton, Ontario native fought off several Lion defenders down the middle and slotted it in past Dayton goalkeeper Chris Froschauer to give United the 2-0 advantage in the 49thminute.

Enter English striker Polk; the Oxford, England born striker was substituted into the game at the 62nd minute mark and did he ever make his presence felt.

Polk found some space in opposition box and scored in the 75th minute to put his side up 3-0. Polk was coming off a two-goal effort the previous day, and continued to add to his impressive tally later in the game.

The home side struggled to get anything going against a more physical and technically organized United side, and the score would continue to rise.

Polk added a pair in stoppage time to complete the hat trick, leading his side with a magnificent performance on route to a convincing 5-0 victory. The striker leads the team with six goals and will hope to continue his strong play down the road.

Louis Cross was named Man of the Match for his outstanding performance.

United now head back home to take on Forest City London at University Stadium, June 17th in what will be the second meeting between the two sides this season. United's remaining fixtures are favourable with six of the eight games left on the schedule to be played at home.
