Defender Ridge Robinson will be making a return to K-W United FC for the 2015 PDL season for his second season running.
Robinson played for the club in 2014 after enjoying a successful junior year with Coastal Carolina University. The Littleton, Colorado, native played in 24 matches for the Chanticleers, starting 22 of the games, playing a total of 1,838 minutes.
"Last year we finished in second, it was a good year," Robinson said.
"We all come from schools where we did pretty well, we just want to bring it all together here so it should be exciting."
The former Drexel University player led his team to an impressive record, conceding only 20 goals in 24 games and registering 12 shutouts on the way. The teams 0.83 goals against average ranked 34th in the NCAA and topped the Big South Conference.
The 22-year-old will be an integral part of a United defence that will hope to build on an impressive defensive campaign from a year ago, and he says he is up to the challenge.
"This year we're looking to win it all, and last year [the] Michigan Bucks won the division and they also won nationals," he explained.
With Toronto FC Academy expanding with a PDL squad, and last years PDL champions Bucks in the tough Great Lakes Division, he knows he will have his work cut out for him.
"I know quite a few players on that team, they've had a big turn over just like us, every team does so we dont feel we are out of it by any way."
