Tampa, FL. K-W United FC took home two executive honours in Communications and Progress for its W-League team at the 2014 annual USL AGM Friday evening.
In 2014, the administrative team worked feverishly to improve their communications game, including recaps after every game accompanied by photos, consistent in-game tweets, video highlights courtesy of Lot59 and player of the game nods every game. The communications strategy increased from 2013 by being consistent and on top of an increasing media presence and communications line. This success comes in hand with the success of the club, which lost in the W-League Central Conference final in just its second year.
The other award, the Progress award, comes as a reflection of the endless amounts of work the administrative team put in this year for K-W United FC. Under new head coach Stuart Neely, the W-League squad went from finishing 4-6-2 in its inaugural season to finishing 6-3-3 in 2014 and made the Central Conference final. Attendance increased at home games and the overall club increased its presence and competitiveness within the W-League.
These awards are the first two executive awards K-W has won in its franchise history.
